We do not ask that Amateur Radio Operators refrain from using RF/Internet links. We realize that many hams enjoy Echolink and IRLP. What we do ask is that you take immediate action to make sure that you can function independently of the Internet, if the need should arise. A handie Talkie and rubber duck antenna do not make you independent.
