AMPLIFIERS

Amplifiers are fine if they enable you to accomplish the SPS mission of maintaining your independence from repeaters and/or the Internet, when this independence is needed. Of course, we always use the minimum power necessary to make a contact. Be mindful of the power requirements of any amplifier when you are using battery or generator power. The best plan is to try to achieve city-wide communications capability without an amplifier.
